The holiday season is a great example of the challenge to juggle many activities. This week is one of my busiest so far as my son begins his high school basketball season. In addition, I am coordinating our holiday party for work, so I have had to make phone calls and send emails. My daughter has a holiday concert next week, and both children have physicals. Today was our first snowfall, the first taste of what is sure to be a long, cold season. As I drop off one child for an activity, then pick up another, I need to squeeze in time to get to the gym for some exercise. In the cold and dark I am tempted to hibernate–to eat comfort foods and snuggle up to read instead of disciplining myself to finish my to-do list. During this busy season I hope to find the balance between keeping a frantic pace and taking time to rest and celebrate. As always, let’s keep CHRIST in Christmas!
